Baker's Motor Service was the first tenant of the building. Here is an ad for Baker's Motor Service that ran in the Franklin Evening Star, March 28, 1940.

Here is a picture of the front of the building in
1951 when Boyd Lemley Ford occupied it.

Our building was built around 1920.  This mural was painted by Laura Parkhurst, a local artist.  It depicts a variety of businesses that were housed in this building over the past century.

Boyd Lemley Ford and Mercury occupied the building after Bakers. Here is an ad for them ran in the Franklin Evening Star, January 5, 1951
